Second de-orbiting maneuver scheduled around 2 pm on August 20

India’s third lunar mission is day-by-day moving closed to the moon as the lander module of the spacecraft lies just 157 km away from the lunar surface. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) said on Friday that the lunar module “reduced its orbit to 113 km x 157 km” after undergoing first “de boosting” around 4 pm. The second de boosting operation is scheduled around 2 am on August 20, 2023.
